About

I was born in the US to Chilean parents, but moved to Spain after finishing University with a degree in Humanities (Comparative Literature). I travelled around Europe for a year and spent 7 months in North Africa/Middle East, as well as repeated trips to Andalusia. I abandoned further academic pursuits in order to follow one of my passions, the flamenco guitar, moving to Jerez in 1997. I taught English, did some translation work, and worked on film and tv productions until I moved to Fes, Morocco in 2004. Along with my wife, we opened and ran a luxury guesthouse in the medina. I currently live in Jerez with my cat, Lailo.
